Assembly of Flanged Joints

Assembly is extremely important for the function of a sealed connection. During assembly, it is not only applying the specified prestress. Assembly should also be regarded as part of quality assurance. A high-quality assembly tailored to the application is a core element for the required function (tightness, integrity) of a flange connection.

Depending on the requirements on tightness of the connection, the assembly methods used ranges from impact wrenches to hydraulic spanners with measurement of bolt elongation.
