AMTEC advanced measurement Messtechnischer Service GmbH (hereafter referred to as AMTEC) is committed to protecting the privacy of personal data in order to establish and maintain a long-term trustful relation to interested persons as well as to customers.

In this statement we provide information about collection and processing and use of personal data.

We collect, process and use personal data according to the regulations of the law (like the European “General Data Protection Regulation -GDPR-“ and the German “Bundesdatenschutzgesetz -BDSG-“).

AMTEC advanced measurement Messtechnischer Service GmbH is responsible within the meaning of the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and other data protection laws applicable in the member states of the EU and other provisions of a data protection nature for the processing of personal data.

Information we may collect about you

We collect, process and use personal information you provide us, e.g. when you request information, register on our website, place an order, request support, login to our customer account, subscribe to our email newsletters. Such information may include your contact data like

  • name
  • address
  • phone number
  • e-mail address

We will only use your information where we are allowed to by law, because we have a legitimate business interest (Art. 6 (1) lit. b GDPR) or where you agree to it. The personal data we collect is used to provide you with the service that you have requested or to respond to an enquiry that you have made e.g.

  • send requested information on products and services incl. newsletters
  • perform transactions prior to entering into a contract
  • transactions to perform a contract
  • customer services, customer support.

Any personal data that you give us will be treated with the utmost care and security. This data is not forwarded to third parties unless we are forced to under legal obligation.

Use of our Website and Cookies

Our Website uses cookies. A cookie is a small text file that stores Internet settings. The cookie is downloaded by your Internet browser the first time you visit our website.

When you access our website, our system resp. the system of our provider collects information that is stored temporarily in a logfile, like

  • name and URL of the accessed file
  • referrer URL = website from which our website is accessed
  • browser used and sometimes the operating system installed on your computer
  • name of your access provider.

The above general data is collected to ensure that a connection is established to the website without problems, for a comfortable use of our website, to analyse the system security and stability and for other administrative purposes. The data is collected as we have a justified interest in accordance with Art. 6 (1) lit. f GDPR.

We would like to point out that we do not use any data to draw conclusions about your person.

Our website may contain third-party provider links / contents and services, such as “Google Maps” and “YouTube” videos. Your IP address usually has to be transferred when accessing these third-party services. This enables these providers to collect and store your user IP address. We endeavour to only include third-party providers which use IP addresses exclusively for delivering content. However, we have no control over which third-party provider may store the IP address. Such storage may occur for statistical purposes. We shall notify our users immediately should we obtain knowledge of third-party provider storage activities. Please also refer to the special data protection declarations for individual third-party service providers whose services we use on our website in this respect.

Your Rights

According to GDPR you have the right to obtain confirmation as to whether or not personal data concerning your person are being processed and - if this is the case - access these personal data. You have the right to obtain rectification of inaccurate personal data concerning you and to obtain the erasure of personal data concerning you. You have the right to restriction of processing, the right to object and the right to data portability of personal data concerning you.

If you consider that the processing of your personal data infringes the GDPR you have the right to file a complaint with a supervisory authority.

Security of your Data

To protect your data we have implemented technical and organisational security measures against accidental or malicious manipulation, loss, deletion and unauthorized access. We continuously update our security measures to reflect technological developments.

Storage of Data

For fiscal reasons, data processed for the performance of a contract usually are stored for a period of 10 years after the last processing step. Unless there are no other legal obligations we store other data as long as necessary for the execution of the contract and to safeguard our rights. We reserve the right to apply longer statutory and operational storage requirements and reasons.
